Russia is a Market Economy, says the government of Peru during a visit in Moscow. As Ria Novosti reports, this announcement is an important step for the Russian Membership in the WTO. How this matches with the government involvement in Gazprom remains a mystery.

    The Heritage Foundation lists Peru with a 62.1% degree of freedom, Russia with 54%, Germany with 73.5% and the USA with 82%.
