Wow! That's ridiculous.
I allways tried to like Deutsche Bahn. But since none of the trains I used in the last six months were in time, I'm quite pissed, too.
Good luck for your hearing ;)

Frohes Fest ) 25. Dezember 2006, 03:06 | 2 Kommentare [...]

I can understand your anger very well. I now that Deutsche Bahn makes a lot of mistakes. But what is the alternative?

Hitch-hiking? Not very comfortable.

Airlines? They make a lot of mistakes, too. First and foremost they destroy the planet. They don't pay energy-taxes. They make dumping prices and give people the impression, that mobility is available for free (though mobility is on of the main causes for environmental destruction in the world).

The car? An environmental problem, too. The car industry is more service oriented, but at the same time acting not very environmentally aware. Long drives on german streets are exhausting in our days. You never know how long your trip will take you on a friday afternoon.

I think there is no alternative to Deutsche Bahn, if we want sustainable an comfortable mobility. Therefore we should work on the enhancement of this company. By complaining, but also by praising friendly train-staff. But this is only possible if we go on travelling by Deutsche Bahn.

Deutsche Bahn has a pretty strange relationship to their customers. When I went to Prague, they shut the connecting train's doors right in front of me, and when I complained about it, they first said it was not their fault (then who closes the doors?), then refused to do anything about it, then insulted me ("See, you're surely a student and have lots of time to discuss this, but there's people behind you."). Only when I gathered fellow travellers (who were similarly shut out from the train) did they back down and hand out vouchers.

I didn't like the Bahn much before, but now I'll just let the BahnCard run out. Say hello to the Autobahn.
